We directly support and empower survivors in the U.S. and abroad through our Survivor Medical Assistance, Survivor Leader Website development, Survivor Healing Workshops, and Trafficking Shelter Support programs. We’ve served survivors in the United States, India, Mexico, Philippines, Hungary, Cameroon, and Ethiopia.
Our educational resources include: On-site training for all industries, films across various online platforms, university libraries, film screenings for universities, faith groups, community events, books, podcasts, and awareness content, as well as digital campaigns that teach children and adults how to prevent and end sex-trafficking.
We directly support and work with sex-trafficking shelters in North America, Asia, Africa, and Europe by providing financial support, essential items for the care and living needs of survivors, facilitating healing workshops for survivors and staff, and providing video services to showcase their work.
We produce, direct, and distribute documentaries that shed light on the complexity of sex trafficking to engage, educate, prevent, and inspire change globally. Our award-winning films Stopping Traffic: The Movement to End Sex-Trafficking and Surviving Sex Trafficking have garnered global attention and reach.
Following the momentum and global impact of our first documentary Stopping Traffic: The Movement to end Sex-Trafficking, we are on a new mission to raise awareness about sex-trafficking survivors and their journey of healing post-rescue. Our new film Surviving Sex-Trafficking, examines the ongoing struggles of the brave 1% of sex trafficking survivors still desperately fighting to break free of their past, even as they painfully repair their damaged bodies and minds, reconnect with a safer world of hope, and finally reclaim their lost humanity. Surviving Sex Trafficking – 2022 (Official Trailer)
Stopping Traffic was founded in 2015 as an initiative to fight the crisis around trafficking, to help as many victims of sex-trafficking as possible, and to prevent children from being sexually exploited.
With a passion to promote non-violence around the world we believe that #EverySoulCounts and that no one should be a slave. We fight to set all souls free from physical, emotional, and psychological chains. We educate about the perils of sex-trafficking, increase awareness to prevent trafficking, empower survivors, and inspire change in our society.
“Let live and live. First, you allow others to be free to live, and then you live. This is non-violence. This is freedom.” – Acharya Shree Yogeesh
